FAIR Microbiome Data

Dr. Stéphane Pesant, EBI, pointed out, during his presentation at WMP of the working group on FAIR Microbiome Data, that Ocean Microbiome will be the key focus to start with. Also referring to the Ocean science conferenses in Nice, France, beginning of this month where scientists were challenged to develop Ocean System Models that capture the complexity of the Ocean Microbiome. Models that exclude microbiomes may not be able to accurately predict the effects of climate change.
